According to the Austin Police Department, a vehicle vs pedestrian accident occurred at approximately 6:46 a.m. on September 23, 2022.
The APD Public Information Office stated that: “Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian, an unidentified woman, in the 11500 block of N IH 35 SB SVRD. A preliminary investigation indicates the pedestrian was walking near traffic before she was hit by the passing vehicle. The woman died on the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.”
