According to the Austin Police Department, a single-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. on December 20, 2022.
The APD Public Information Office stated that: “Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 1900 block of Hearthside Drive. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two people inside a minivan that crashed into a tree. A passenger in the minivan, Duong Lieng, was taken to a hospital, where she died on Sunday, December 25, 2022. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.”
