According to the Austin Police Department, an auto vs pedestrian accident occurred at approximately 1:58 a.m. on January 10, 2023. The APD Public Information Office stated that: “Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded crash between an unknown vehicle and an unidentified pedestrian in the 2000 block of E. Oltorf Street. The driver of the unknown vehicle did not stop to help the person hit and left the area immediately. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where the unidentified person died.”
