According to the Austin Police Department a vehicle vs vehicle collision occurred at approximately 4:55 a.m. on July 29, 2022.
The APD Public Information Office stated that: “Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a report of a crash in the 15100 block of N IH-35 NB. The driver of an 18-wheeler was traveling on IH-35 NB when a vehicle driven by Anthony McGruder struck him from behind. McGruder died at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler is cooperating with the investigation.”
