The APD Public Information Office stated that: “Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a report of a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian, Erick Hernandez, in the 700 block of E Slaughter Ln. Hernandez was taken to a hospital where he later died. The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.”
