Accident Summary:
According to the Austin Police Department, a vehicle vs motorcycle accident occurred at approximately 5:35 p.m. on December 6, 2022.
The APD Public Information Office stated that: “Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a sedan and a motorcycle in the 300 block of Airport Blvd. The preliminary investigation shows that the sedan was traveling north in the outside lane of the 300 block of Airport Boulevard. The motorcycle, driven by Ernest Costilla, attempted to merge into the outside lane and hit the sedan. Costilla was ejected and died on the scene. The driver of the sedan remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.”
