Accident Summary:
According to the Austin Police Department, a three vehicle accident occurred at approximately 11:24 p.m. on October 15th, 2022.
The APD Public Information Office stated that: “Austin Police Department (APD) Officers responded to a crash between three vehicles and an unidentified pedestrian in the 8900 block of Research Blvd SB.The preliminary investigation shows that the pedestrian was standing in the roadway next to a vehicle that stopped in the traffic lane. That’s when a driver in another car hit the pedestrian and the vehicle he was standing next to. The pedestrian was then hit again by another driver at the scene. The pedestrian died on the scene. The two drivers are cooperating with the investigation.”
