According to the Austin Police Department a single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:58 a.m. on July 17, 2022. The APD Public Information Office stated that: “Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash in the 3300 block of S US HWY 183 NB. When officers arrived, they discovered that a vehicle had left the roadway, striking a tree on airport property. The female died at the scene. The investigation is still ongoing.”
