Austin is a Sr. Associate licensed in Texas and New Mexico, and comes to the firm with ten years of litigation experience in many areas of law. Austin was born in Lubbock, Texas, and is a proud Texas Tech alum. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, he attended the Texas Tech School of Law and earned his J.D. and Masters in Public Administration in 2013.
His professional career started in Lubbock, Texas, where he worked for a firm focusing on car wrecks and oilfield injuries. As soon as he was licensed, he immediately began trying cases in Texas and New Mexico. After gaining experience, Austin opened his own firm where he continued practicing personal injury, and then added criminal and family law to his repertoire. In west Texas, Mr. Carrizales became known for always being at the courthouse. Before joining Sandoval and James Law Firm in 2024, Austin also managed a large team for a state-wide personal injury law firm and worked on complex and catastrophic cases for a prominent firm in San Antonio. Austin holds a crucial role at Sandoval and James law firm helping assist in managing the non-catastrophic litigation department and helping with litigation of substantial and complex cases.
Austin believes that true advocacy is fighting for those who are disadvantaged both in and out of the courtroom, and he uses his drive and determination to obtain outstanding results for his clients. In his spare time, Austin enjoys playing disc golf, having fun with his dogs, and trying every good Texas BBQ spot. Austin has been a Texas Superlawyer “Rising Star” consecutively since 2021 and is an active member for the Texas Trial Lawyers and the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association.
