Vehicle vs Pedestrian
According to the Austin Police Department, a vehicle vs pedestrian accident occurred at approximately 10:55 p.m. on September 24, 2022.
The APD Public Information Office stated that: “Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a driver of a four-door sedan and a pedestrian, Greyson Turner, in the 5400 N IH 35 NB. A preliminary investigation indicates the driver was traveling north on Interstate 35 at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control. The vehicle left the roadway and hit Mr. Turner, who was standing outside his vehicle in the parking lot of the Chase Bank located at 5407 N IH 35. Mr. Turner was taken to a hospital nearby, where he later died. The driver of the sedan was also taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was not arrested. The investigation is ongoing.”
