According to the Austin Police Department a single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 2:26 a.m. on July 18, 2022. The APD Public Information Office stated that: “Austin Police Department (APD) officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Decker Ln, traveling recklessly at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was then involved in a single vehicle collision near FM 969 and Decker Ln. The occupants were taken to the hospital by EMS, where one person died.
