According to the Austin Police Department (APD), on Friday, June 20, 2025, at around 2:35 a.m., there was a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle on the 1600 block of East Ben White Boulevard SVRD and the 4100 block of South Interstate Highway 35 SVRD. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead. This is the 45th traffic-related fatality in Austin for 2025.
