According to the Austin Police Department (APD), on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at around 12:30 a.m., there was a collision between a pedestrian and two vehicles on the 13000 block of Interstate Highway 35 Northbound SVRD. A pickup truck hit a pedestrian, which was followed by a sedan. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. This is the 48th traffic-related fatality in Austin for 2025.
