According to the Austin Police Department (APD), on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at around 9:19 a.m., there was a collision between two vehicles on the 7400 block of FM 969 Road. The passenger of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The two drivers were transported to local hospitals for their injuries. This is the 31^st traffic-related fatality in Austin for 2025.
