According to the Austin Police Department (APD), on March 5, 2025, at around 7:05 p.m., a collision occurred between a pedestrian and a vehicle on the 8800 block of East Ben White Boulevard SVRD EB. Because the injuries sustained to the pedestrian were too significant, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver and the passenger of the vehicle were both unharmed and stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities. This is Austin’s 11th fatal crash in 2025.
