According to the Austin Police Department (APD), on February 18, 2025, at around 8:52 a.m., a collision occurred between a pedestrian and a vehicle on the 1900 block of East Ben White Boulevard SVRD EB. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital. Despite all of their life-saving efforts, the injuries sustained by the crash were too severe and the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the hospital. This is Austin’s 7th fatal crash in 2025.
