According to the Austin Police Department (APD), on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at around 9:19 p.m., there was a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle on the 1700 block of South Pleasant Valley Road. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI-related charges. This is the 43rd traffic-related fatality in Austin for 2025.
