According to Fox 7 Austin News, on Wednesday, April 23, at around 7:00 a.m., a collision occurred with eight cars and one semi-truck on Interstate 35 near the 257-mile marker. Video surveillance showed multiple vehicles went off the roadway, including the semi-truck. According to Georgetown Police, there were eight vehicles damaged in the southbound lane and one vehicle damaged in the northbound lane when it was hit by a tire. One driver involved in the collision stated that the two vehicles sideswiped each other, which caused the initial crash. Medical personnel arrived on the scene, and three people were taken to a local hospital for their injuries.
