According to the Austin Police Department (APD), on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at around 9:03 p.m., there was a car accident involving three vehicles at the intersection of East Ben White SVRD WB and East Riverside Drive. The crash was between two sedans and a pickup truck. The driver and the passenger of one of the sedans were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. The driver of the sedan was later pronounced dead. This is the 38th traffic-related fatality in Austin for 2025.
