 A report from Click 2 Houston News states that there was a collision between two vehicles on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at around 3:17 p.m. on the I-45 near FM 977. A 2016 Dodge pickup truck was headed south when it crossed over the center median and struck a 2023 Ford F-150 that was traveling northbound head-on. Both vehicles caught fire due to the collision. The driver of the Ford and four of its passengers were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Dodge was transported to CHI St. Joseph Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
