According to the Austin Police Department (APD), on Sunday, June 13, 2025, at around 2:26 a.m., there was a collision between a bicycle and a pickup truck at the intersection of Montopolis Drive and Carnation Terrance. The bicyclist was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. On July 15, 2025, the bicyclist was pronounced dead. This is the 51st traffic-related fatality in Austin for 2025.
