Rob was born and raised in Texas, and from an early age, he was drawn to advocacy and the work of standing up for people at life’s most difficult moments. After earning his law degree, Rob began what is now more than 13 years of dedicated practice in personal injury litigation, building a career defined by hard work, high-stakes trial experience, and a commitment to getting answers and justice for his clients.
Rob began his legal career in Dallas, Texas, where he first developed a passion for complex injury cases and trial work. He later expanded his practice to Atlanta, Georgia, sharpening his litigation skills in a fast-paced, competitive environment while representing clients in serious personal injury commercial vehicle matters. Eventually, Rob returned home to Texas, where he now serves clients as a partner at Sandoval & James.
Over the course of his career, Rob has developed significant experience in commercial vehicle and trucking litigation, an area in which he has become widely respected. He recently earned Board Certification in Truck Accident Law, a distinction held by a small and highly vetted group of attorneys nationwide. His experience spans catastrophic trucking collisions, commercial vehicle crashes, and other high-severity injury cases that demand a deep understanding of both the law and the industry.
Rob’s skill in the courtroom has earned him repeated professional recognition. He was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2019–2022, an honor reserved for no more than 2.5% of attorneys in each state. In 2022, Rob achieved one of the top 50 trial verdicts in Texas, a testament to his effectiveness before judges and juries and his relentless pursuit of the results his clients deserve.
Rob is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association. These memberships reflect his dedication to staying at the forefront of trial advocacy and trucking litigation and his ongoing commitment to the legal community.
Outside of work, Rob is first and foremost a family man. He and his wife are the parents to two young children who keep them constantly on their toes. When he isn’t preparing a case for trial or otherwise navigating the legal field, Rob enjoys spending time with his family and embracing the chaos of raising young kids.
