Mr. Payne works in the personal injury litigation department. He believes in fighting for people who otherwise do not have a voice against insurance companies. Mr. Payne has a strong passion for fighting for justice and advocating vehemently in support of his clients and their injury claims.
Mr. Payne grew up in the Austin area. He developed a passion for advocating while on varsity debate in high school. Mr. Payne then earned his bachelor’s degree from Huston-Tillotson University, an HBCU here in the heart of East Downtown Austin. After undergrad Mr. Payne attended South Texas College of Law in Houston where he earned his Juris Doctorate.
After law school, Mr. Payne worked as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney in Houston before returning to Austin to join Sandoval & James. Mr. Payne is an active member of the African American Lawyers Section of the State Bar.
In his free time Mr. Payne enjoys playing soccer, the gym, basketball and spending time with his friends and family.
