David Payne works in the personal injury litigation department. He believes in fighting for people who otherwise do not have a voice against insurance companies. Mr. Payne has a strong passion for fighting for justice and advocating vehemently in support of his clients and their injury claims. Mr. Payne has been impressive since he joined the Sandoval and James Law Firm in 2021 and assists Mr. Benedict James in managing the non-catastrophic personal injury department at the firm.
Mr. Payne grew up in the Austin area. He developed a passion for advocating while on varsity debate in high school. Mr. Payne then earned his bachelorās degree from Huston-Tillotson University, an HBCU here in the heart of East Downtown Austin. After undergrad, Mr. Payne attended South Texas College of Law in Houston where he earned his Juris Doctorate.
After law school, Mr. Payne worked as a plaintiffās personal injury attorney in Houston before returning to Austin to join Sandoval and James Law Firm. Mr. Payne is an active member of the African American Lawyers Section of the State Bar, the Texas Trial Lawyerās Association, and the Capital Area Trial Lawyerās Association.
In his free time, Mr. Payne enjoys playing soccer, the gym, basketball, and spending time with his friends and family.
