Personal Injury Trial Lawyer | Board Certified By The Texas Board of Legal Specialization Since 1999.
Charles Dunn is a native of Brownsville, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors from Abilene Christian University and his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law.
Mr. Dunn has devoted his entire legal career to representing individuals seriously injured through the negligence of others. He established his own plaintiffs ’firm in Lubbock, Texas, where he practiced personal injury law for 38 years before moving to Central Texas to manage a complex litigation docket with a heavy emphasis on commercial trucking cases and serious personal injury and wrongful death matters.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Dunn has served as first-chair trial counsel in more than 250 personal injury jury trials. In the past ten years alone, he has recovered more than $95 million in settlements for injured plaintiffs and their families. His willingness to take cases to trial — rather than accept inadequate settlement offers — consistently produces results that pretrial negotiations cannot achieve. In August 2024, when an insurance carrier offered $130,000 to resolve a personal injury case, Mr. Dunn rejected the offer and proceeded to trial. A Travis County jury returned a verdict exceeding $4 million.
Mr. Dunn has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1999 and has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer since 2003. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association. Outside the courtroom, Mr. Dunn has written two novels, Saved by Ace and The Seventh Star. He is a passionate supporter of the Texas Tech Red Raiders and enjoys horse racing, traveling and spending quiet time with his family
